THREAD LIFT
Another innovative addition to non-surgical facial rejuvenation is thread lifting. Specially developed threads achieve a minimally invasive skin tightening that lasts up to three years, depending on the area of application and the type of thread. This technique has only been used for a few years and initially it sometimes happened that permanently remaining threads led to inflammation and sometimes had to be surgically removed. In the meantime, the industry has developed new, technologically modified thread types. They sensibly close the gap between minimally invasive procedures such as fillers and surgical interventions.
This new technique is used by JJPS. It represents a significant improvement over previous practice. Basically, we use two types of thread. They are made of either polydioxanone or polylactic acid, a naturally occurring polymer derived from sugar. Both materials are well tolerated, harmless and can also be combined with each other without any problems. Polydioxanone is a self-dissolving suture material used in surgical operations to close deep layers of tissue where sutures cannot be removed.
MONO THREADS
To improve the quality of the skin, smooth, so-called mono threads are inserted into the superficial layers of the skin. They induce a regeneration process, through which the local blood flow increases relatively. At the same time, thread degradation sets in and a tissue reaction occurs that accumulates the body's own structural proteins, collagen and elastin. This thickens the skin and tightens the thread lengthwise. In addition, a permanent lifting effect occurs. Monofilaments are also very suitable for the thin areas of skin on the neck, around the mouth and in the area of the lower eyelid in order to structurally improve the skin quality in these sectors, for example if an operation is not (yet) desired.
MINT LIFTING WITH BARBED THREADS
If the sagged tissue is to be lifted directly, i.e. "hung up again", we use thicker threads with a barb system. With the "minimally invasive nonsurgical threads", as these modern, self-dissolving threads with the small, conical barbs are called, tissue can be pulled in any desired direction. With local anesthesia, the threads are inserted into the deeper skin layers after careful disinfection with small cannulas and the vector is tightened by gentle pulling. The treatment is almost painless, if desired, additional sedation can be given. Depending on the desire, you need multiple twisted threads with different hooks and lengths, usually about two to three threads on each side of the face.
The price of the treatment, which depends decisively on the amount of material used, is also based on this. These lifting threads also locally stimulate the body's own production of structural proteins such as collagen and elastin and also regenerate the skin from below. All face and neck regions can be treated with thread lifts: forehead wrinkles, marionette lines, laughter lines, loss of volume on the lower eyelid, drooping eyebrows, sagging cheeks, sagging neck and chin areas and "hamster cheeks". MINT lifting can also be combined with botulinum toxin and/or fillers.
INFORMATION
OVERVIEW
Duration
30-60 minutes depending on the region and complexity
Post-treatment
Reduce facial expressions for 2-3 days, no sport for 3 weeks and no facial treatments, spa or solarium, local cooling immediately afterwards
Useful information
Activation of the body's own regeneration after approx. 7-12 days, promotion of the local blood supply and activation of the connective tissue metabolism, stimulation of the new synthesis of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid over months to years
Technique
Usually six to eight threads, which are inserted under the skin via narrow cannulas under local anesthesia of the puncture site according to prior planning, then the tissue is pulled appropriately over the barbs and thus fixation of the tightening
Presentability
Immediately
Pain level
Thanks to local anesthesia at the puncture site, it is very painless, if desired, additional sedation is also possible
Risks
Rarerly bruises, often swelling, but these subside spontaneously
Procedure
Outpatient
Costs
PDO threads from 200 euros,
Screws from 350 euros,
Barbed lifting - threads from 600 euros
