CHEMICALPEELINGS/MEDICAL NEEDLING

The process of aging changes the structure of a face on many levels. Due to cell death and reduced ability to regenerate, the skin loses important structural proteins such as collagen and elastin and thus loses the ability to store moisture, tone and youthful elasticity. Initially superficial wrinkles dig deeper into the skin, pigment spots and texture irregularities also form.

One option for deep skin rejuvenation is medical peelings and medical needling from a specialist doctor.

CHEMICAL PEELINGS

Superficial to deep peelings offer a significant improvement, especially in the case of pigment disorders, deep skin folds, acne scars and UV damage to the skin as well as cornification disorders and age or pigment spots. Depending on the individual indication, we use different chemical compositions to improve skin texture, harmonize skin tone and reduce pore size.

Superficial peelings are carried out with fruit acid or glycolic acid and used to peel off the upper, dead skin cell layer. The underlying, intact skin tissue comes to light and in addition a regeneration stimulus is set on the skin: Your skin surface appears firmer, healthier and radiant - with glow!

For deep wrinkles and pronounced pigment disorders, a deeper peeling with TCA (trichloroacetic acid) or even phenol is recommended. These peelings reach the elastic and collagen fibers in all layers of the skin, but also have significantly longer exposure and downtimes. Basically, the deeper a peeling works, the more tightening and structural renewal of the skin is achieved.

Depending on your skin type and texture, we offer different intensities of chemical peels that take your individual needs and wishes into account. The peelings are often used as part of a combination treatment, for example with an autologous fat or PRP treatment.

Preparation

The skin is thoroughly cleansed of make-up at the beginning. Then the individually adapted peeling serum is applied to the individual skin areas. After an appropriate exposure time, the skin is neutralized with a buffer solution and washed off with water. With some peelings, this process is repeated several times depending on the condition of the skin and tolerance. Finally, a soothing cream is applied. Some peels do not need to be neutralized and others remain on the skin for 3-8 hours.

Areas of application

Chemical peels are mainly used on the face. In addition, the neck, décolleté, arms, legs and intimate areas can also be treated with chemical peels. In addition to wrinkles, UV radiation damage and pigment disorders, acne scars and stretch marks can also be improved by the treatment.

Costs

Depending on the complexity and type of peeling, chemical peels cost from around 150 Euros per treatment.

Risks

Depending on the type, the first applications with medical peelings of high concentration may cause irritation such as reddening of the skin, increased sensitivity, dryness, burning, itching, as well as scaling and crusting of the top layer of skin. These reactions usually leave over time as the skin adjusts to the peeling. In very rare cases, slight pain, weeping wounds, pigment shifts, delayed wound healing or scarring can occur.
Deep peelings must not be used in the case of acute herpes infections, intake of isotretinoin (high-dose vitamin A), wounds in the area of application and some skin diseases or irritations of the skin as well as an existing pregnancy.

Aftercare

Depending on the type of peeling, no special preparation is usually necessary, maybe we advise you to use a special preparatory care series 1 - 2 weeks beforehand. After a chemical peeling, it is absolutely necessary to refrain from scratching the peeling skin or mechanically wiping the skin. Visits to the sauna and solarium must be avoided depending on the type of peeling. In addition, you should not go out in the sun without a high sun protection factor with SPF 50+, as this can result in scars and/or pigment disorders in the skin.

With superficial chemical peels you are socially representable again immediately. Slight redness can be covered with make-up. After 2 - 3 days, the skin begins to peel. Therefore, we recommend allowing for a downtime of 2-7 days for some peels.

Depending on the type of peeling, 4-6 treatments should be carried out at intervals of 2 - 6 weeks for optimal results.

Most peelings show an immediate effect with lifting and a "glow". Nevertheless, the aim of a peeling is skin renewal and regeneration, which only becomes drastically visible after a few weeks. Due to progressive aging, regular refreshments are recommended every 3 - 6 months.

MEDICAL NEEDLING

Medical needling is an excellent method to regenerate the skin through induced cell renewal and collagen formation and to optimally influence existing scars (e.g. after severe acne) or stretch marks. Fine puncture channels are created in the upper layers of the skin with the help of a special needle roller under local anesthesia at high frequency. This stimulus triggers a strong regeneration of collagen and also stimulates the natural regeneration mechanisms of the skin. The result for you: Improved skin structure and quality without pain and completely natural. In order to improve the result even further, the combination with a PRP treatment (platelet-rich plasma) is suitable. Your own blood plasma, which is obtained by taking a simple blood sample and processed by us, is introduced into the skin and creates an additional glow! Let our practice advise you on this.

Important: The medical needling in our practice has nothing to do with cosmetic needling from a beauty salon. Needles up to a maximum of 0.5 mm can be used there and thus only the superficial layers of the skin can be reached. However, this method is not particularly suitable for the treatment of acne, scars and deeper wrinkles because it cannot penetrate deeply enough. With medical needling from a specialist doctor, needles up to 3mm are used to stimulate the deep layers of the skin more intensively. The longer needles reach and allow the treatment of acne and other scars such as stretch marks by breaking up the scar tissue in depth and stimulating local skin modeling there. Due to the depth of the procedure with the necessary surface anesthesia, this depth is only permitted from a doctor's hand.

Preparation

The skin is thoroughly disinfected at the beginning and a strong anesthetic ointment is applied so that the treatment is as painless as possible for you. A few days beforehand, you need to apply a special care lotion that you will receive from us beforehand. After waiting for the anesthetic cream to take effect and disinfecting again, the skin is treated with the special medical needling roller with fine, precisely formed microneedles at high frequency to a depth of up to 3mm. Up to 10,000 punctures are applied as intentional "micro-injuries" to the skin, thus triggering collagen regeneration.

Areas of application

Needlings are mainly used on the face. In addition, the neck, décolleté, arms, legs and all scars can be treated with microneedling. Besides wrinkles, UV radiation damage and pigment disorders, acne scars and stretch marks can also be improved by the treatment.

Costs

Depending on the complexity and type of needling, medical needling costs from around 350 euros per treatment, with a combination with PRP from around 500 euros.

Risks

In addition to reddening, which usually lasts 2-3 days, small bruises and inflammation can occasionally occur. If you have a previous herpes disease, there may be another herpes outbreak.

Aftercare

Before needling, a special, preparatory care series must be applied 1 - 2 weeks beforehand. After the needling treatment, a special post-treatment protocol with a care series should be followed. Visits to the sauna and solarium must be avoided depending on the type of peeling. In addition, you should not go out in the sun without a high sun protection factor with SPF 50+, as this can result in scars and/or pigment disorders in the skin.

With all needling treatments you are socially representable again immediately. Slight redness can be covered with make-up.

For an optimal result, approx. 2-3 treatments should be carried out at intervals of 4 - 8 weeks.

The skin renewal and regeneration induced by the needling are only visible after 4-6 months. The result lasts about 2-4 years.
